 The High Flyers After School Club is now held at The Community Rooms, Haworth Drive Tunstead,(just off Booth road) Stacksteads on Mondays to Fridays - 3.15 p.m. to 6.00 p.m throughout term-time. Children are collected by our staff from Holy Trinity School and St Josephs at the end of each school day and escorted to the Club.
Transport for children from other schools can be arranged, but there may be (depending on numbers) an additional charge for this. The current fees for each session are £5 The High Flyers Staff are led by Victoria (Vickke) Burnside N.N.E.B the Officer-in-Charge. Parents are more than welcome to contact Vickke at any time and call in to discuss the Club or their child. Vickke is assisted by Janet Hayhurst D.P.P - Deputy Officer in charge at the after school club who also assists with the holiday club.  Stacksteads Riverside Park Group (SRPG) is a community organisation working to regenerate Stacksteads and the surrounding area, including the towns of Bacup and Waterfoot, our closest neighbours.
Stacksteads nestles in the heart of Rossendale, East Lancashire; an easy drive from larger towns such as Accrington, Burnley, Rochdale and Manchester. Our Neighbourhood Activity Centre acts as our 'headquarters', providing a base for many and varied projects such as; - Adult education courses
- Internet Cafe
- After school club
- Holiday club
- Printing and colour photocopying
- Stationery supplies
- Environmental projects
- Group venue/meeting room
We have completed many environmental projects to improve the local area, including a Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) for the village. We have recently recruited a 'Village Caretaker' who has been working hard to keep Stacksteads looking clean and cared for!  One very important aspect of our services is the successful High Flyers club which provides after school care as well as a holiday club during the summer break.
